Our Dance recitals are all held at the Chandos Pattison Auditorium located on the campus of Pacific Academy.

Our recitals are the perfect venue for you or your child to show family and friends the results of months of learning and practice. Our recitals are organized and designed to eliminate “stage fright” and help performers build self esteem. Recitals are ticketed events and ticket prices are $20 plus service fees charged by the ticketing company.  Recital tickets are valid for one show only.

Each recital is professionally filmed and families receive a free recording of the recital.

This is the high point of the year for students and parents and a fun time is had by all. The dancers waiting backstage get to enjoy the recital live by watching the action on stage as it happens via a large screen TV. Our recitals will provide your family with great memories that will last for a lifetime.

Our dance recitals are all held at the Chandos Pattison Auditorium located on the campus of Pacific Academy.

Each year there are 2 recital shows. Each show runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minute including a 20 minute intermission dividing the show. Dancers in the first half of the recital come backstage before the start of the recital.  Dancers in the second half of the recital watch from the audience.  At intermission the dancers who are in the second half of the recital proceed backstage to perform and the dancers who have performed can watch the show from the audience.  Dancers in costume do not require a ticket.

Recitals are divided by dance styles:

One recital features all Ballerina Bunnies, ballet and contemporary dance classes.  The other recital features all Kinderjazz, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre classes.

Programs
The dance recital programs are now in your account. To make it easy to find your dancer, their name is highlighted in yellow.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals are mandatory and are NOT at the dance school, but at the auditorium (Chandos Pattison Auditorium at Pacific Academy School).  Rehearsal times are in your account.  Most rehearsals are not at your regularly scheduled class time, so please be aware of your scheduled rehearsal day and time.  Rehearsals are scheduled on Saturday, June 11 and Friday, June 17. Dancers need to be there 20 minutes early in full costume with hair and makeup done and with their dance shoes.  Rehearsals are 10 minutes each (followed by photos) and run on time so please ensure you are early and allow for traffic.

There are no dance classes on Sat. June 11, Mon. June 13, Tues. June 14, Wed. June 15, Thurs. June 16 or Fri. June 17.  Rehearsals take the place of regular dance classes for those dates (unless you are emailed a notice about a replacement class on one of those dates to make up for a cancelled class).

Photos
Dance class photos will be taken at rehearsal.  Students rehearse first and then go backstage for their photos.  Parents do not come backstage for the photos.  The photographers will email a link with photo proofs and you can choose to order individual photos or packages and pay for them from that link.

Recital Day Drop Off and Pick-up
Recitals are on Saturday, June 18 (competitive dance classes also have a recital on Friday, June 17).  Dancers should be at the auditorium 30 minutes before their recital starts.  Dancers in the first half of the recital should be dropped off at the backstage entry at the number on the wall that matches the number of their performance in the program.  Dancers should wait under this number.

Dancers in the second half will not be admitted back stage until the intermission.  They should watch the first half of the recital from the audience.  Dancers in the first half of the recital will be given back to their families from the front of the stage at intermission – you do not come to the backstage door you dropped the dancers off at to get them.
