GUILDFORD SUMMER MUSIC RECITAL

Our music recital is fast approaching.  We have divided it into 3 sessions.  Please note the time that your teacher circled as that is the time that you are playing in. If you need an accompanist, make sure you sign up today for a time to rehearse with her. Admission is by donation of non-perishable food items for the Food Bank.

Directions:  (from the music school) drive west on 104 avenue to 148th street and turn left, the church is approximately ½ a block up on your right hand side, just past the ball park.

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As the end of the year fast approaches, so does the date for the Choir's performance of "The Granny Awards".  This year's recital is scheduled for Saturday, May 29 at 3:30pm at Emmanuel Evangelical Covenant Church. 

In order for this production to be a success, it is necessary for us to have some extended and additional rehearsals with all of the choir members.  Every child's participation is needed for the musical, so please make the rehearsals a priority.  If, for any reason, your child has to miss a rehearsal, please let me know as soon as possible. Also, keep in mind that many students have important speaking roles, and the group is counting on them to be in attendance.

The following dates will be extended rehearsals that will join the Jr. and Sr. Choirs from each location, thus giving the group extra time to rehearse the music and script.

Walnut Grove - Wednesdays, May 5, 12, 19 and 26 (5-6pm).
Guildford - Wednesdays, May 5, 12, 19 and 26 (6:30pm-7:30pm).
White Rock - Thursdays, May 6, 13, 20 and 27 (5-6pm).

In addition, we will be holding a Staging Dress Rehearsal at Emmanuel Covenant Church on Saturday, May 15 from 10am-12 noon.  This will be the only chance for the choir to practice on stage and rehearse the entire play with all of the choir members together, so it is essential for everyone to attend.

Our final rehearsal will be a Music Dress Rehearsal at the Guildford School of Music on Friday, May 28 from 7-8pm.  This will be the only chance for the choir to rehearse the music with our accompanist Joanne, and will be a chance to go over any last-minute details.
